KR: Who’s your
favorite business person/entrepreneur?
DA: Peter Diamandis.
KR: Peter Diamandis. On a scale of one to ten, how weird are you?
DA: I think I am about an eight.
KR: How many hours of sleep do you get a night??
DA: Five hours and 57 minutes for the past 650 nights.
KR: [Laughs.] What’s the last
thing that you do before you go to bed?
DA: The last thing I do before I go to bed is I turn out the lights that are already dim.
KR: Do you meditate or do you relax?
DA: I need to do neither one because I’ve hacked my brain. I go to sleep within 90 seconds.
KR: What’s you favorite animal?
DA: Ummmm. [Long pause.]
KR: [Interrupts] There’s nobody that flunks this except you. Come on, what’s you favorite animal?
DA: My favorite animal. Ummmm. I kind of like dachshunds.
KR: They’re dogs. That’s a dog.
DA: [Interrupts] Dogs are not an animal. Dogs. OK, the salamander would qualify.
KR: Are you saying salamanders?
DA: [interrupts] Wait, wait, let me show you this. [Shows back cover of book on the table]. This is a salamander. There’s a salamander on the back of this book.
KR: Don’t do this! OK on a scale of one to ten you are a ten right now. Real quick, spiderman or batman?
DA: Ummm. Spiderman
KR: And one word, what describes you? One word.
DA: Happy?
