10 Best WordPress Themes in 2013 for Photographers
There are hundreds if not thousands of WordPress Themes for Photographers that are available today. I’d like to make it easier for you by scouring the web for the best of the best. As a photographer myself, I’ve used this criteria in deciding which Themes should belong in my Top 10 list.
1. Wow factor – The purpose of taking photographs and making them available online, is to showcase your talent and wow your audience.
2. Functionality – It should serve it’s purpose. If you want to sell your images, it should have a way of integrating a payment system. If you want people to share and tweet your images, make it shareable. Design and Function should co-exist together and not sacrifice one for the other.
3. Affordability – I wouldn’t buy a wordpress theme that costs thousands of dollars. Unless of course it was redesigned and customized to suite your needs. Then that’s fine.
4. Responsive Design – Because more and more people are using their mobile phones over their desktops in the last few years, implementing a responsive design in your website is a must. Responsive design allows you to have a website that matches the screen resolution of the device. This way, you’re images and website doesn’t act funny
5. Ease of use – You want to take photographs and showcase them. A great wordpress theme for photographers should have awesome features but is still easy to use.
