Finding ways to repurpose content is one of the most important aspects of content marketing. You can get more value out of your blogs and articles if you learn how to repurpose them.
There’s no set of rules that tell you exactly how you should repurpose content, so you’ll need to get a little creative. According to a recent Forbes article, you can chop up your content and post segments incrementally:
“Unless you have a massive team of content creators, it’s difficult to produce tons of material on a daily basis. In order to maximize the value of the content you do publish, find ways to repurpose it for continued use. For example, you can pull key points from an article and tweet them throughout the week; or you could use a long blog post as a launching point for an entire blog series.”
Here are a few good ways to repurpose content:
Start big and get smaller
One of the best ways to repurpose content is to start with an ebook and take content from it. If you have 12 chapters in your ebook, then you can create 12 new blog posts without having to come up with new ideas.
Start small and get bigger
You can also approach this process from the other end point. Create a series of blogs which all have a common theme. If you write about a tip in each blog, then you can write an ebook including all the tips. Post that ebook on your website and you’re good to go.
Change the type of content
Let’s say your company conducts a survey and includes the information in a white paper. Well, not all your followers want to read white papers, so wait a few weeks and create an infographic with the same content. This way, you’ll appeal to different types of consumers.
