Whether you are a big or small business, B2C or B2B, your brand image is an important piece of the overall picture. In every industry, there’s going to be a slew of competition, so in order to stand out from the crowd, you’re going to need to create a unique brand identity.

And not only a unique brand identity, but one that speaks to consumers. One that connects on an emotional level that will fill a need or void in people’s lives. It’s about offering something that consumers want or need, and perhaps something that no one else has to offer.

This all evolves around your brand image. You’re letting people in on what you do and what you are all about. Your company has to have something that it stands for. Some type of values or mission statement that provides your business with a backbone.

This is what your brand identity stems from. In its simplest form, your brand identity is your promise to consumers. That alone should let you know how important your brand identity is.

So once you establish your brand identity, it’s time to create a brand awareness campaign, which is basically how you spread the word about your brand. One of the best tools to use is social media.

You want to start by creating a following or social gathering around your brand image. Once you’ve established some followers, you should be well on your way. These people will look for your messages, photos, updates, or whatever it may be on your social pages and spread the word for you.

But keep in mind, every message, image or video you share on social media has the potential to do good or harm to your brand image. With that being said, it’s important to stay consistent with your brand identity.

Your followers are going to connect with your brand image and your brand awareness campaign and expect consistency. If you veer too far out of the lanes of your brand identity, your followers may not approve.
