Lenovo Reveals New Pen Technology, Yoga Tablets And Laptops

At CES 2015 in Las Vegas, Lenovo announced the ThinkPad Yoga, two Yoga 3 laptops, and the Yoga Tablet 2.

Yoga Tablet 2 with AnyPen An 8-inch slate running Windows 8.1, the Yoga Tablet 2 boasts an HD (1920 x 1080) IPS screen, an Intel Atom quad-core processor (1.86 GHz), 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage. It weighs 0.94 pounds. It also features a battery life of 15 hours. The new Yoga tablet also includes the AnyPen technology, which allows you to use a traditional pencil or ballpoint pen for on-screen writing. Lenovo claims this is more precise, as unless if you make a mark on it nothing will be written on-screen. Starting at $299, the Yoga Tablet 2 will be available in January 2015.

The ThinkPad Yoga laptop comes in three different sizes, with display options of 12.5, 14, and 15.6 inches. Their storage is configurable for up to 1TB HDD or 512GB SSD. Aimed at the enterprise, the laptops have 8GB of memory available for handling enterprise needs. Two of the processor options are Intel Core i5 and i7.

You can opt for Nvidia graphics in the two largest ThinkPad Yoga’s, and for a 3D camera in the largest one. Starting at $999, the ThinkPad Yoga’s will be available in February 2015.

The Yoga 3 comes in two different sizes, 11.6 and 14 inches, with a resolution of 1920 x 1080. The screens also rotate 360 degrees, allowing the device to double as a laptop and tablet. The smaller Yoga 3 has an Intel Core M processor, while the larger one comes with either a Core i5 or i7.

Both are configurable for up to 8GB of memory and 128GB to 500GB SSD. Both will be available in March 2015, starting at $799.
