There are — hopefully — very few people who can take advantage of a two-for-one burger deal all by themselves, so TGI Fridays are letting diners share their freebie with friends via their Jump Burger campaign. The restaurant chain is promoting their burger menu, by rewarding any diner who buys one with a discount code to be shared through their social networks.
The campaign follows a host of other companies — such as Uber and Ritual — who have offered rewards to users for sharing discount codes, which was extremely successful in helping businesses expand their customer base. The coupon can only be redeemed once by the first friend who spots it on the customer’s timeline.
What other businesses could use this digital word-of-mouth tactic?
