Daniel Bryan didn’t win Royal Rumble 2014. In fact, he wasn’t even invited to the dance. But the story of this year’s Royal Rumble may not be completely written. According to Stone Cold Steve Austin, there has been an interesting development.

Got a shit pile of emails regarding last nights #RoyalRumble. Y’all sound a little pissed off. Interesting development…Stay tuned. #WWE

Is Stone Cold just trying to drum up an audience for his show? Absolutely. But don’t put it past the WWE to pull some strings, heighten the drama, and give Daniel Bryan a shot at winning Royal Rumble 2014 part two.

Mick Foley also hinted that the WWE might have “something major up their sleeves.” Well, Mick didn’t really hint at it. He said that the WWE better have something up their sleeves otherwise he’s going to throw a brick through his television set.

The longtime wrestler said that he was dissapointed in the wrestling organization for not listening to its fans. In a lengthy Facebook post, Foley writes:

“HEY WWE….WHAT THE F … I had every intention of putting a brick through my TV tonight, after seeing that Daniel Bryan was not even entered in the Royal Rumble match, let alone going to win the thing … I’ve never felt so disgusted at the conclusion of a WWE (or any) PPV. Like many of you out there, I just don’t get it. This Daniel Bryan thing is a phenomenon. You get it. I get it. The fans in Pittsburgh got it. But tonight, for the first time, I had to admit to myself that the powers that be are just not going to get it. And that makes me sad. I’m just honestly sad, just flat out fucking sad.”

The wrestler added:

“I was till looking forward to being part of the biggest event of the year. I’ll probably end up going anyway. But I’m about 1/6th as excited about it as I was just a few hours ago. I wanted so badly to hear 75,000 WWE fans chanting “YES” – and seeing fans walk away absolutely ecstatic about the outcome of a PPV for the first time in a while…a long while. But when given the chance to make it happen (unless they’ve got something MAJOR up their sleeve) WWE’s answer tonight was a resounding “NO, NO, NO.”

Daniel Bryan also took to Twitter last night to talk about his snub. According to Bryan, the “machine” didn’t want him anywhere near Royal Rumble 2014.

Sorry guys, the machine wanted me nowhere near the Royal Rumble match. But I thank everyone for their support. YOU are the #YESMovement

They try to keep US down and away from the top spots, but they can’t ignore the reactions forever. Keep voicing your opinions. #YESMovement

Daniel Bryan didn’t get a chance at the title at Royal Rumble 2014 but you can expect him to have a big part in WWE WrestleMania XXX. Daniel Bryan is one of the most popular wrestlers in the ring at the moment and the WWE isn’t going to ignore that. What they are going to do (and what they’ve done) is ignore him, spit on him, and hold him down until his fans can’t take it any longer. And then, well, the WWE will do what they do best. They’ll take the ace out from underneath their sleeves and give the fans what they’ve been dying to see.
